Yoga Fit

Join Yoga Therapist and BCRPA Fitness Instructor Janice Arnot for this fusion class that interweaves dynamic stretching and standing asanas to cultivate balance and maintain bone density. The gentle strength training and core exercises to designed to keep the muscles strong and joints supported (TheraBands and light weights). This class is a blend of chair yoga and strength training that ends with a short sound and breath meditation. A great class to maintain functional fitness!



Restorative Flow

This gentle class explores slow gentle movements and stretches to mobilize the joints while inviting in a deeper breath practice and core connection. The gentle movements are intertwined with restorative postures to calm the nervous system and invite deep rest for the body and mind.



Pelvic Health for Women


Instructor: Regina Pfeifer

In this class you will strengthen the Core 4 (pelvic floor, diaphragm, multifidus and transverse abdominals), improve breathing that supports pelvic health, better understand the anatomy of the pelvis including bones, muscles, organs and ligaments and how they connect with the overall body. You can benefit from this class if you have concerns about pelvic girdle and low back pain (including SI Joint), pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse or incontinence.Expect a brief private advance intake to allow Regina to better meet your goals and needs. We usually have a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist come for a talk during one session.



Movement and Stillness: A 6 week series of Yoga for Chronic Pain

This series is designed for people living with chronic pain. It will include pain science information, mindful movement, breathwork, and guided rest practices to support pain management. The emphasis is on movement at your pace, with plenty of space to make choices that work for you and your body on the day. A short intake phonecall will be scheduled with each new student ahead of first class. Pre-registration is required; no drop ins. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Bone Health Clinic (Wednesday Group)

This is a pre-registered bi-weekly class for anyone with a diagnosis of osteopenia, osteoporosis or wishing to build bone density. Students have the option of participating in Dr. Loren Fishman’s Dose-Response study examining the positive impact of yoga on building bone density. As part of the study, participants are required to sign up for participation with Dr. Fishman and attend the bi-weekly Bone Health Clinic. Bone Health Clinic is limited to 6 participants.

Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an empirically validated, adjunctive clinical treatment for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD. The emphasis is on movement at your pace, with plenty of space to make choices that work for you and your body. A short intake phonecall will be scheduled with each new student ahead of first class. Pre-registration is required; no drop ins. Class size is limited to 10 students.
