Ajna Yoga provides in-depth Yoga Teacher Training to provide graduates with the necessary tools to build their careers.
Our 240 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT-200), 300 Hour Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga (RYT-500) and 800 hour Yoga Therapy Diploma (C-IAYT) courses combine lectures, asana classes, workshops and teaching mentorships taught by experts in the field. Ongoing graduate support and advanced education are our highest priorities as our community of professional yoga teachers and yoga therapist grows .
Ajna Yoga Accreditation and Designation
PTIB
(Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills)
Ajna Yoga falls under the governing body of the Private Training Institutions Branch in the province of BC. The Agency is given its authority by the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development. The Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills administers the Private Training Act and associated regulations.

The Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation is available to public and private institutions in B.C. that meet or exceed quality assurance standards set by the province of B.C.
Ajna is the only designated yoga training college on Vancouver Island and one of two designated yoga therapy colleges in BC.
IAYT
(International Association of Yoga Therapists)
IAYT supports research and education in yoga and serves as a professional organization for yoga teachers and yoga therapists worldwide. Their mission is to establish yoga as a recognized and respected therapy. As of 2014, IAYT has over 3,400 individual members from 48 countries, and over 130 member schools.
Ajna’s New 800 Hour Yoga Therapy Program was awarded accreditation in the first round of announced colleges on June 7, 2014. This means that anyone who graduates from Ajna’s 800-Hour Yoga Therapy Program will be recognized as an accredited Yoga Therapist. This is an exciting step in the field of yoga therapy and Ajna is one of the first colleges internationally to have an accredited program.
Ajna Yoga is an EQA designated institute. Institutions are required to have EQA designation in order to be placed on the Designated Learning Institution (“DLI”) list maintained by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Institutions on the DLI list may host international students on study permits. (RYT).
Ajna Yoga is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-Hour and 300-Hour level. Schools that register with the Yoga Alliance are listed on the online directory as “Registered Yoga Schools” (RYS). Registration acknowledges that the yoga teacher training program meets certain standards for curriculum developed by Yoga Alliance and that training is conducted by experienced instructors. A school whose curriculum satisfies or exceeds our minimum training Standards may apply to register as a RYS. Once a school is registered, the students who complete their subsequent trainings are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT).
